Judging Process
The Telecom Asia Awards are the result of the combined efforts of Telecom Asia editors, analysts and industry professionals who make up our judging panel.
The judging methodology varies slightly between segments. In most categories the judging was conducted over two rounds. In the first, judges each nominated their best performers for the category, and in the second they cast their votes.
The exceptions were the Managed Services and Wholesale categories, where candidates self-nominate by submitting information about their financial, market and technology performance as well as their networks and range of services. Judges then ranked the nominees on each . We also accept nominations from telcos in five categories: Best Asian Telecom Carrier, Telecom CEO of the Year, Best Community Telecom Project, Most Innovative Telecom Project and Best Cloud-Based Service -- the last which is new this year.
The common element across all categories was the focus on innovation. Judges were asked to score candidates on their level of innovation, as well as their operational and financial performance.
